My wife and I recently celebrated our anniversary in Sonoma in August 2011. Our first winery we visited during our weeklong stay was Chateau St. Jean. We were blown away by the beauty of the grounds, and even more so by the remarkable quality of the wine. I couldn't help but think to myself how much my parents would enjoy visiting this region and exploring all it has to offer. Throughout my life my parents have always been there to support me through good times and bad. I could never ask for a better upbringing. I am so fortunate and so very thankful to my parents. My wish would be to bring my parents to Sonoma for the first time for their anniversary next fall so that they may experience the fantastic time had by my wife and I. I would love to visit during "crush" time. California wine country is a magical place to experience, and Chateau St. Jean is the crown jewel. I would love nothing more than to be able to surprise my parents with a trip to Sonoma. It would be the least I could do to thank them for the lifetime of opportunity they have given me.
