Chateau St. Jean - Clean Up Shortcuts
Tip 1
Ionized water is a remarkable stain remover. Most stains can merely be sprayed and left alone. It does not need to be rinsed. It works quite well on red wine stains without leaving the sticky residue that white wine or seltzer water leaves behind.
Tip 2
Keep a few dry towels inside a cabinet front if possible in every room where guests will linger. The faster you attend to a stain the less damage the stain will cause.
Tip 3
Tuck one or two extra trash bags at the bottom of a trash container before placing the trash bag inside. It prevents rushing around finding replacements when the container needs emptying.
Tip 4
To clean hardened wax off of candlesticks, place the candlesticks inside the freezer for an hour or more. Remove candlesticks and the frozen wax should easily peel off.
Tip 5
Before beginning any food preparation, run the sink full of sudsy water. Put pots, pans and utensils into the water as you work. If you run out of time, you will not have food dried on the dishes at the end of the day.
Tip 6
Host a holiday gathering that practically cleans up after itself. Look for one-pot and crock pot recipes or make it a potluck party and send guests home with the leftovers.
Tip 7
Finally, enjoy your holidays with Chateau St. Jean. Take time to appreciate family, friends and the beauty of the season. Cheers!
