Simple Holiday Tips
Holiday wishes vary, but one thing everybody wishes for is a simpler season. We’re providing some timesaving tips to make this holiday season less stressful and more enjoyable from start to finish.
Tip 1
Send holiday e-cards instead of snail mail. You’ll save time, money and the earth. (OK, maybe that last one’s a stretch but you can feel good about adding more green to your holiday.)
Tip 2
Use gift bags instead of traditional wrapping paper. It’s less fuss but still aesthetically pleasing.
Tip 3
Shop online to save gas and avoid the crazy holiday rush. Online gift cards make for an easy and practical gift.
Tip 4
Avoid a wasted trek to the mall. Call ahead and make sure the item is in stock before you get in the car.
Tip 5
Buy hostess gifts in bulk, like a case of wine. A bottle of Chateau St. Jean will ensure you’re a hit with every party host.
Tip 6
Resist saying yes. Take a year off from chaperoning third grade holiday parties and co-hosting your mother-in-law’s secret Santa bash.
Tip 7
Remember TO: De-Stress. Stress Reducer: exercise. Can’t make it to the gym? Try a brisk walk or run on a local nature trail.
Tip 8
Remember TO: Unplug. Turn off your phone, television, radio, laptop, etc. for an hour or more. The disconnect is a great way to reconnect with yourself.
Tip 9
Remember TO: Sleep. We know it sounds simple enough, but you’d be surprised how easily late-night gift-wrapping or midnight cookie-baking could deprive you of your much needed rest.
